Transparency Register

Reporting Lobbying and Advocacy Activities

Applies to all Bravedo companies as of 2024.

Finland’s Transparency Register (Avoimuusrekisteri) increases the openness of lobbying and influencing activities directed at national political decision-makers. As of 2024, Bravedo is required by law to track and report certain types of contacts twice per year.

To ensure compliance, please follow the step-by-step process below.

When does reporting apply?

You must report any direct contact or meeting with:

  • Members of Parliament

  • Officials or political decision-makers within ministries

This applies regardless of who initiates the meeting.

❌ When does reporting not apply?

You do not need to report contact with:

  • Municipalities or city authorities

  • Government agencies (e.g. Kela, Migri, TE Services)

  • Mass communication, such as newsletters, social media posts, or event invitations aimed at large audiences

HOW TO REPORT – Step-by-Step

STEP 1: PREPARE THE INFORMATION

As soon as possible after the contact, prepare the following details:

Who was contacted (name and role/title)

How the contact occurred (e.g. phone call, email, meeting, remote call)

What topics were discussed

Whether any costs were involved (e.g. offering lunch, gifts, or hospitality)

STEP 2: SEND THE INFORMATION

Send your report by email to:
avoimuusrekisteri@bravedo.fi . You don’t need a formal report — just include the four required pieces of information in plain language.

STEP 3: BRAVEDO SUBMITS THE OFFICIAL REPORT

Bravedo Oy will compile and submit a centralized report to the Transparency Register: H1 events (January–June) → submitted in June–July. H2 events (July–December) → submitted at the beginning of the following year
